How ya like me now by Brendan Halpin

Your Name: Anonymous
Your Grade in School: 7
What rating would you give this book?: Highly Recommended

Additional information or comments?: This book take you through a series of emotions, it did for me at least. This book follows the main character, Eddie, around in his new life in boston. He has a addict parent and is forced to move in with his aunt and uncle. His cousin, Alex, shows him the way of his new life. Finding friends, finding girls and other things teens have to deal with. His mom, who is in rehab, makes Eddie a emotional shy kid at the beginning of the 201 page book, and by the end, he is no longer that kid. He his more confident. This book could teach teens that your confidence is in you somewhere, and you can find it even in difficult situations and see the good in things. This book take one of the worlds problems and faces them head on. This realistic fiction book is now one of my favorite books!

James Bond 007 in Die Another Day by Raymond Benson
Reviewer's Name: Jeff
Reviewer's Grade: 8
Rating: Highly Recommend

Review: This book based off of the movie of the same name is very exciting and is very connected to the 2002 movie of the same name. 007 is on a mission to kill a South Korean colonel when his identity is discovered by the main villain, Zao. Bond is later captured by the general of the South Korean armies, who is also the colonel's father. After he is rescued by other 00 agents, M takes him off the Active Duty list until he recovers. The rest of the book/movie's storyline is for you to discover in the book "Die Another Day." Based on the screenplay by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, starring Pierce Brosnan as 007, Halle Berry as Jinx, and Rick Yune as Zao.

The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton
Reviewer's Name: Alek
Reviewer's Grade: 9
Rating: Highly Recommend

Review: This book is vary good because it is about a boy who is in a gang and how he deals with it. There is a lot of decision making, action, and droma in it. The boys name is Pony Boy, and he is a greaser just like his brothers. Their enemies are the Socs who are not as different as the greasers. The most inportant part of the book is that it is like you put your feet in the shoes of a kids' gang related life and how sad it is. People who will like this book would want to know how it feels to be in a gang and the bond between people.

Sweet Talk by Susan Mallery

Review: I have just finished Sweet talk. To me this book was very easy to get into. If you like romantic books, check this one out! The main character is Claire Keyes. She lives in New York. Claire is a professional pianist. She travils all around the world to play for large groups of people. She has two sisters, one is her twin Nicole. Nicole runs the family bakery. Jesse is their younger sister. One day, in Claire's busy life, she got a phone call from her sister Jesse saying that Nicole was going to have surgery, and she would need assistance after. Clarie was very surprised! When claire was very young their mom had died, so Nicole had always blamed Claire for her death. Will Nicole forgive Claire? How will Claire's surgery go? Read this book to find out what happens.

Rating: Highly Recommend

Review: This book is about a 10 year old girl named Annemarie Johansen and her best friend Ellen Rosen who is a Jew and has a Jewish family. The Nazi soldiers come to get rid of the Jewish people, so the towns people are trying to relocate the Jewish people who live in their town in Denmark. Ellen pretends to be Anniemarie's sister and lives with Anniemarie and her family.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Reviewer's Name: Sage
Reviewer's Grade: 9
Rating: Very Good

Review: I really like this book in many ways because its so intense and unpredictable. One of the reasons I like this book is because the Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games. These kids fight to the death on live t.v! I also like the main character. Her name is Katniss Everdeen, and she is sixteen years old. She lives with her mother and and younger sister. I can relate to her because I live with my mom and younger sibling. I recommend this book to others who like a good adrenaline rush story, and feel like you're a part of the story.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling
Reviewer's Name: Anonymous
Reviewer's Grade: 9
Rating: Very Good

Review: I really like Harry Potter,I've seen the movies, so I want to see how different the book are. I'm on the 3rd one and so far, thay have left out a lot of stuff. I think teens would like this book. I didn't really like Harry Potter when it first came out, but then the second one came out, and I was blown away.

Crackback, by John Coy
Reviewer's Name: Seth
Reviewer's Grade: 8
Rating: Highly Recommend

Review: This book is so exciting! It's by far the best book I have ever read! It's all a football player needs in a book. It tells everything from the locker room to the field! This book takes you through practice and mistakes in the football games! The main character has his life involved in every way he could possibly be. He devotes his life to that game. His dad is the same way, but if his dad ever saw him do one bad play he gets really frustrated. I think that teenagers would really like this book and reccomend football players to read it!

The Schwa was Here, by Neal Shusterman
Reviewer's Name: Anonymous
Reviewer's Grade: 8
Rating: Very Good

Review: I like this book because it is very interesting, and it's about a boy who is invisible. No one can see him, even his dad. Only one person can see him, and they are best friends. In the beginning it's not that rough, but in the middle it starts to get rough--it starts to go down little by little. You get to learn about the Schwa famiy and his life and how hard it is live like him. I think that everyone will like this book.

Swindle,  by Gordan Knorman
Reviewer's Name: Matthew
Reviewer's Grade: 7
Rating: Okay

Review: It's a good book, a lot of action. What happens is the main character Griffen Bing found a millon dollar Babe Ruth card. Then Windo Palimaro, a mean guy, does something really bad against the law. Read the book to find out. If you get finshed with this book, you can read Zoobreak, another good book. Theres lot of books by Gorgan Knorman.

Maximum Ride: The Final Warning, by James Patterson
Reviewer’s Name: Skylar
Reviewer's Grade: 9
Rating: Highly Recommend

Review: I think this book is full of adventure and excitement. There is a lot of laughter and some sad parts in this book. There's a lot of action with Maximum and the flock. They have some problems along the way. Read the series and learn about Maximum and her flock. You would want to start reading Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment which is the first book out of the series; then there's School's Out-Forever. Oh, and did I meantion they can fly?

Brian’s Winter, by Gary Paulsen
Reviewer's Name: Jake
Reviewer's Grade: 8
Rating: Highly Recommend

Review: I like "Brian's Winter" by Gary paulsen because I really like adventure books. I read the "Brian Saga" by Gary Paulsen. One of my favorite parts is how he learns to bulid moccassins, and the biggest thing he adapted to the northern woods, and conquered everything he had to conquer. He conquered things like a moose attack, the cold snowy northern winters, and the bear attack. He was able to make friends with a skunk by feeding it his deer meat. He only took what he needed to live. Brian made things like a war bow that would bring down wild game or large game. He killed with a 22 caliber rifle that broke, a field bow, a killing lance, and a war bow. I think people that hunt or like to spend time outdoors would like this book.

Trapped, by Arvella Whitmore
Reviewer's Name: Anonymous
Reviewer's Grade: 8
Rating: Very Good

Review: I like this book a lot because at one point the kid has the watch and then just like that he is in the slave worlds being a slave, and I like how the slave master was being nice and didn't give him the 10 lashes and pretended to lash him but didn't. I like at the end when he got the watch and he was back in his own time and then he met up with his gang. They were beating him up and then just like that he was shot. I think boys would like this book because the main character is a boy.

Gregor and the Curse of the Warmbloods, by Suzanne Collins
Reviewer's Name: Rebecca
Reviewer's Grade: 7
Rating: Highly Recommend

Review: The Prophecy of Blood is what Nerissa had handed him. Not the Prophecy of Bane. Gregor, one day, finds a scroll, a cry for help from the Underlanders. Gregor is now determined to find the cure to this prophecies plague, for his family’s life is at stake. Gregor’s mom came to the Underland just because they had called Boots and Gregor. But now, Gregor’s mom has the plague, along with his bonded bat, Ares. Gregor is reunited with old friends and they all travel together to unravel the mystery of Sandwich’s prophecies. I personally rate this book the best out of all of the Underland Chronicles. It had a great amount of suspense, humor and problems. The Underland hasn’t changed much so the setting is the same. Like I said, this book was AMAZING!!! I would definitely read this series. From the first book to wherever Collins decides to stop this series, they are all really good. I got hooked on this book easily so I read it within a mere 2-3 hours. It was a relatively short book with 358 pages.
