Items that may be difficult to obtain are: reference books, newly published books (less than 6 months old), audio-visual materials, and rare books.  The Cedar Falls Public Library cannot guarantee that all interlibrary loan requests will be filled.

There is no charge for interlibrary loan items. A fee of $2 will be charged if the item is not picked up or is more than 7 days overdue.

You may request an interlibrary loan by logging into your account through our >catalog.  You will be asked to login with your library card number and your PIN number.  If you need help with your PIN, please call our Service Desk at (319) 273-8643.  After you log in, click on 'Materials Request' in the menu on the left side, then click the 'Submit a New Materials Request' button.  Fill in as much information as possible.  We will contact you when your item is ready for pickup.
