Traditional Chinese Painting, Aesthetics, and Techniques

October 14 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Discover the beauty of Chinese art in this hands-on workshop! Explore how it has evolved over time and how it differs from Western art in philosophy, aesthetics, and techniques. Then, try it yourself—use a traditional Chinese brush and ink to create your own painting on rice paper.

Our instructor, Penny C. Wang directs the Chinese Studies Certificate program at UNI and teaches Chinese art, calligraphy, and western art to children.

This program is intended for adults and will be held in the Co-lab.  Registration (opening on 9/1/26) is required.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Cedar Falls Public Library
