Please note this page is being updated as library staff adapt library services to accommodate our closure to the public. New resources may be added as we become aware of them. Thank you for your understanding and patience. 

Library Building Closed to the Public

The Cedar Falls Public Library building  is closed to the public during Phase One of Re-opening. Additionally:

  • Curbside Service begins Wednesday, May 20.
    • Appointments are required.
  • Curbside Printing is available for essential documents.
  • More information about our phased re-opening is available in >this announcement.
  • Donations will NOT be accepted. Any donated items we receive will be immediately discarded. Please wait until we re-open to donate materials.
  • New library cards are available through our >online application. Library staff will follow up with you to complete the application while we are closed to the public. Please monitor the email address you provide in your application.

Wi-Fi

Our public Wi-Fi is available from the library parking lot. Please connect to CFPL-PUBLIC and agree to our Terms and Conditions to connect. Wi-Fi is available 24/7.

Library cardholders have access to all of our digital resources and content:

  • Libby (eBooks & eAudiobooks)
  • Overdrive (eBooks, eAudiobooks, & Streaming)
  • Hoopla (stream music & movies, checkout eBooks, eGraphicNovels & more)
  • Freegal (each week you can download 5 songs to keep & stream 3 hours of music)
  • Ancestry at home*
    • **Please email reference@cedarfallslibrary.org for instructions on how to access Ancestry at home. Include your library card number in your email.
  • No library card? No problem! Library staff will follow up with you to complete your application.
