They will learn about the expectations of the timeline for the program and will receive letter-writing starter kits to kick off their awesome snail mail journey! As per our Safe Child Policy\, children ages 10 and under will need a responsible caregiver in attendance with them at this program. Parents are encouraged to attend even if their child is over the age of 10 so they can be aware of the guidelines and expectations for the program.  \nFor ages 8-12\, must be able to handwrite or type. DESCRIPTION:Folded books (i.e. book sculptures) are created through the artistic folding of book pages to make visible images or patterns on the fore edge of a book --  old and unwanted books are repurposed into fresh pieces of art!\nThis work session is intended to be a communal space for folders to gather\, work on their latest project\, and exchange advice and ideas.  Bring along your latest project or start a new one -- a limited supply of books and patterns will be available on a first-come\, first-served basis.  Although no formal instruction will be provided\, experienced folders will be on-hand to offer guidance.\nThis program is intended for adults.  All skill levels are welcome and no registration is required.  We hope to see you there!\nSponsored by the Friends of the Cedar Falls Public Library
