SUMMARY:Introduction to Book Folding - Session 1
DESCRIPTION:Folded books (i.e. book sculptures) are created through the artistic folding of book pages to make visible images or patterns on the fore edge of a book --  old and unwanted books are repurposed into fresh pieces of art! \nThis class will focus on the basic measure-mark-and-fold method of book folding.  Beginners will learn about the tools and methods of folding before starting on a pattern\, while more advanced students can work at their own pace.  All materials will be provided and each participant will be able to take their creation (or work-in-progress) home.  All skill levels are welcome! \nThis program is intended for adults and registration is required.  Sponsored by the Friends of the Cedar Falls Public Library. \nPlease note:  There are 2 identical sessions of this intro program (#1 on Tues. 8/11 at 6PM and #2 on Sat. 8/15 at 9:30AM).  You do NOT need to attend both sessions!
