The Cedar Falls Public Library and the Hearst Center for the Arts worked together to present Community Nature Quest\, a new year-long program designed to foster creative engagement with our natural surroundings. DESCRIPTION:Youth Department (Storytime Corner) \nTweens (kids ages 9-12) are invited to join us for a monthly book club! We'll enjoy a group activity and a discussion on this month's book. This month's is Tween's Choice. Tweens are welcome to choose their own books this month. It could be anything from re-reading their all-time favorite title to branching out and trying a genre they don't normally read. DESCRIPTION:Would you care for a game of chess?  Join fellow players at the Cedar Falls Public Library's meeting room (2nd floor) to meet your next opponent.  The club meets regularly on the 3rd Monday of each month. \nThis gathering is open to all ages\, but a firm grasp of chess is expected from all players as there is no formal instruction. No registration is required. \nThe library's Safe Child Policy applies to all programs - children under 11 will need a responsible caregiver present and in the room with them at all times.
