DESCRIPTION:Folded books (i.e. book sculptures) are created through the artistic folding of book pages to make visible images or patterns on the fore edge of a book --  old and unwanted books are repurposed into fresh pieces of art!\nOnce you have mastered the basics\, if can be fun to challenge yourself with a more advanced pattern.  This workshop will focus on a cut-and-fold fireplace design.  Participants will receive guidance on personalizing their design and will work at their own pace.  All materials will be provided and each participant will be able to take their creation (or work-in-progress) home.  \nBasic knowledge of book folding is a prerequisite for this program\, and experience with intermediate techniques is preferred.  This program is intended for adults and registration is required.\nSponsored by the Friends of the Cedar Falls Public Library
