Sessions will feature guided group activities\, time for relaxed networking in a respectful\, age-gated environment for adults to enjoy outside of the 9-5 workday schedule.  \nSeptember Event: Cake Decorating for Beginners \nTake your first sweet steps into the world of decorating at our Cake Decorating Workshop\, a beginner-friendly adult program designed for anyone who’s ever admired a beautifully finished cake and thought\, “I wish I could do that!” If you’ve been looking for a place to start\, this is it—come learn\, create\, and discover just how approachable (and enjoyable!) cake decorating can be! \nNo experience? No problem. This class is crafted for beginners\, with clear\, step-by-step instruction that will walk you through the basics. You’ll learn foundational techniques like how to smoothly frost a cake and explore easy decorative touches that make a big visual impact. All supplies will be provided\, and you’ll have plenty of time to practice in a relaxed\, supportive environment—no pressure\, just fun and creativity. By the end of the program\, you’ll have your very own decorated cake to take home\, along with the confidence to keep experimenting in your own kitchen. \nThursday\, September 24\, 2026\, 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Cedar Falls Community Center \nRegistration required. DESCRIPTION:Do you have an interest in paper quilling?  Join us for Quilling Club on the first Saturday of each month!  The library will provide tools and materials for you to work with.  Although no formal instruction will be provided\, practicing quillers and resources will be available to assist beginners.  All skill levels are welcome!  This program is intended for adults and will be held in the Meeting Room.  While pre-registration is preferred\, walk-ins are welcome as long as supplies last. \nSponsored by the Friends of the Cedar Falls Public Library
