Weather Ambassadors

The U.S. Department of Commerce and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) sponsors the Weather-Ready Nation Ambassadors™ Program. It’s an educational initiative to promote severe weather preparedness and safety. Cedar Falls Public Library is one of 33 participating libraries in the robust Weather-Ready Nation Ambassadors program, with a total of over 11,000 Ambassador organizations in the U.S.A.

Be Weather Aware

Know before you go! Get in the habit of checking every morning before you go out. Visit on your computer or on your phone. Make sure that you are ready for whatever the day may bring.

Be Weather Prepared

View a weather safety presentation! Each season can bring significant weather events to our area. Learn more about weather safety.

Make a plan and build a kit! It is helpful to think about the resources you need now before a weather emergency event occurs.

Be prepared as you travel this winter by making a vehicle winter safety kit.
