Storytime with Lisa Woodruff | September 24th| 10:30 a.m.
Lisa Woodruff is a dietitian, food allergy mom, and Cedar Valley native. Her first book Be a Food Allergy Helper!  came out in May 2022. Join us as she reads her book and discusses the impact food allergy has on children and their families.

Be A Food Allergy Helper! is narrated by Rebel and Sam, two kids that like to eat ice cream and watch baseball games. But when their little brother Luca has an allergic reaction to peanuts, their family must learn what foods he can eat and how to keep him safe. This book includes a list of actions that all children can use to become Food Allergy Helpers, which is what I call friends of the food allergy community.

See our storytime page for a full schedule.

Camp Half-Blood Escape Room |August 17-19 | Conference Room
Attention campers! It’s Friday evening, and you know that means: Capture the Flag! The Athena cabin is issuing a new type of Capture the Flag challenge. Instead of capturing and winning the flag through wit and combat at Zeus’ Fist, it will be won purely through wit. They’ve hidden the flag somewhere on the campgrounds, and it is up to you to figure out how to acquire it. The catch? They’re only giving campers a limited amount of time to capture the flag. Are you willing to accept this challenge? Please contact the youth department at youth@cedarfallslibrary.org or 319-268-3282 to register. For ages 9+

Art Step-By-Step | August 25th | 4:00 p.m. | Co-Lab
